Colors We Can Produce In Cockers
The following is a list of "paper" breedings between our dogs and the colors each breeding will produce together. Not everyone is completely genotyped yet, but as I fill in the blanks I will update this with the possible outcomes. If there is a certain color you want out of a certain pair let me know and we will let you know when that breeding will be taking place.Notes:
Mismark means a dog that has one spotting gene, which causes a white chest and sometimes other markings as well such as the tips of feet, and a splash of white on the muzzle.
Also, when buff is listed, until the dogs are genotyped we can not guarentee what shades of buff will be produced. They can vary from red to silver. As the gaps are filled in, we will update this as well.
Clear sables are those that can look buff/red and mean they have 2 sable genes. These dogs can never produce a tan pattern. They are very beneficial in a sable breeding program.
